Community Impact
Founded in 1996, the Market Street Festival is one of the largest community festivals in Lowndes County. Held the first weekend in May each year in historic Downtown Columbus, the festival draws thousands of visitors to enjoy more than 175 arts and crafts and food vendors, two music stages, dozens of special events and countless family-friendly activities. In addition to being a beloved annual tradition, the Market Street Festival generates a significant economic impact for the community and serves as the largest fundraiser supporting Downtown Columbus.
